- Electric drive, oil-fired heat430XM4 is a belt-drive machine on a 230V single-phase motor with a 350,000 BTU oil burner — made for a fixed bay where there is no engine to maintain and no exhaust in the building. Indoor work is where an electric hot water unit earns its keep.
- Heat-side failures come firstOn an oil-fired unit the burner is the first thing that goes quiet. Burner troubleshooting and the cold-morning no-fire guide cover the standard causes before you pull the unit apart.
- Freeze damage is the expensive surpriseA stationary unit in an unheated bay takes ice damage to the pump manifold and coil exactly as a skid does. The five freeze cracks applies here too.
