Work where the machines actually get fixed
Dieter's is a small shop in Lewisberry, PA that sells, services and builds commercial pressure washing equipment. We hire people who like figuring out why something broke and making it right.
We're not a warehouse and we're not a call center. A combined 73 years in the pressure washing industry walks through the door every morning, and the person who sells a machine is usually the one who services it two years later.
What the work is
- Service technician. Diagnose and repair hot and cold water pressure washers — pumps, unloaders, burners, coils, electrical. Gas, diesel and electric. You'll see a bit of everything, from a contractor's 4 GPM cart to a stationary 460-volt wash bay. Experience with small engines, pumps or burners helps; the willingness to pull it apart and learn matters more.
- Fabrication and welding. We weld our own aluminum skid frames and plumb every rig to the customer's work. If you can run a clean TIG bead and read a layout, there is a bench for you.
- Parts counter and inside sales. Match a nozzle to a machine, cross-reference a pump, help a new contractor leave with the right setup and not an expensive wrong one. You'll learn the equipment fast because it is all around you.
- Delivery, installs and field service. Deliver equipment, set up installs, and service machines on site around York, Harrisburg, Lancaster and Lebanon. A clean driving record is required; a trailer-towing habit is a plus.
How we hire
We don't always have an opening posted, and we don't post on the big job boards. We keep applications on file and call the people we already have first when a spot opens up. So apply even if there isn't a position listed — that is how most people here started.
Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8 to 5. Pay depends on what you can do on day one, and goes up with what you learn. We talk honestly about it on the phone rather than printing a range that fits nobody.
Who does well here
People who show up, who ask when they don't know, and who would rather fix the actual problem than clear the ticket. If you have ever taken a pressure washer apart in your own garage because you wanted to know why, you will probably like it.
Questions before you apply? Call (717) 822-0660 and ask for Ian, or come by the shop at 665 Laura Ct, Lewisberry — Mon–Fri 8–5.
Apply
Five minutes. Attach a résumé if you have one — if you don't, the experience box is enough.
