- The workhorse reel for 4–6 GPM machinesAn 18 inch electric reel with a half-inch manifold is sized for the common commercial machines — 4 to 6 GPM — where the half-inch port is not the restriction. It is the reel most of our mid-flow rigs leave the shop with.

Questions buyers ask
- Electric vs. manual retract — worth it?
- If you reroll fifty feet of hose more than a few times a day, yes. Powered retract is faster and does not wear the crew's shoulders. If the reel only moves occasionally or sits on a fixed bay, the manual powder-coated version is the cheaper, lighter call.
- Will a half-inch manifold limit my machine?
- For a 4–6 GPM machine, no — the half-inch manifold is not the bottleneck. It only restricts when you get toward 8 GPM and above, which is when the one inch high-flow reel is the right pick.
