What it's for

Hot water machine rated at 2,000 PSI and 3.5 GPM. Heat is what releases grease, oil and protein soils — a cold machine at the same pressure will move them around rather than remove them.

What we see on the bench

  • A lower-flow electric hot water unit420X4 is a belt-drive electric unit at 2,000 PSI and 3.5 GPM with a 350,000 BTU oil burner. It trades flow for gentleness on detail and indoor work — a good fit where you want heat without the pressure a full 4,000 PSI unit brings.
  • Think burner, then pump, then unloaderWhen heat drops, it is the burner side (burner troubleshooting). When pressure behaves erratically, the unloader vs. thermal relief valve distinction is the classic stumble — our post on it saves a wrong part order. At 3.5 GPM the tip matters too — a wrong orifice changes pressure entirely, and the nozzle sizing post covers the read.

Questions buyers ask

What is this unit best for?
Indoor and detail work where you want heat and clean rinsing without the wear of a high-PSI blast. At 3.5 GPM it will not starve a moderate bay. The PSI vs. GPM trade-off is why a gentler lower-flow machine wins on food plant and tight-bay work. Get a dealer quote and we will match the configuration to your washdown.
Why is there no price shown?
This is a quote-only unit. We price it to your build and delivery rather than publishing a shelf figure, so the page shows a dealer-quote CTA instead of a number.
